Collection: Jute Rope

Our natural Jute Rope has a classic rustic finish with warm, sandy tones - ideal for adding a traditional touch to garden projects.

While the outer jute fibres are biodegradable, the core is synthetic, giving the rope a longer lifespan and reduced shrinkage compared to fully natural ropes. So the best of both worlds!

It is UV-resistant, easy to handle, and knot-friendly - so it is suitable for decking, handrails,  plant supports, decorative features and more.

Choose cut lengths, reel or full coils (up to 220 m), with fast UK delivery.

The Right Jute Rope for Your Garden Projects

Jute rope brings warmth, tradition and timeless style to your garden boundary, decking rail, or planter feature. At Garden Ropes, our jute rope blends natural fibres outside with a synthetic core inside, giving you that classic look but with better strength and less shrinkage.

It’s soft to handle, easy to knot, and kind to your hands, but behind that natural feel is a rope built to last. Use it for garden borders, decorative trellis support, handrails, hanging planters, or rustic fencing. Match the diameter to your posts or fixings, and you’ve got both form and function working together.

Like any natural rope, jute weathers. That can be a distinct advantage for several reasons - for example, a slightly aged look can look softer in the garden centre, and you may want any outside fibres that come away to degrade naturally into the soil. But if you wish to apply a light coating of decking oil or linseed oil, it will help to maintain its appearance and resist damp.
