How do I install the ropes for decking or garden rails?
You can attach our ropes to posts or walls etc using our metal fittings, passing them through drilled holes, or simply knotting them. We strongly recommend you read our decking rope guide before drilling holes or ordering specific lengths of rope, to help you get it just right!
What materials are your ropes made from?
What materials are your ropes made from?
Our ropes are made from either natural or synthetic materials, sourced from around the world. Mind you, we sell natural Jute rope which has a synthetic (polypropylene) core for added strength!
Each collection or individual product shows clearly what they are made from.
You might want a synthetic rope for long term use outside because it will not rot, or perhaps you might choose a natural rope if you're after a more eco-friendly solution.

Ropes made from synthetic materials will be resistant to sun, rain and frost for many years.
Natural ropes are made from plant fibres, so they will degrade over time as you might expect. Manila rope, made from the abaca plant, contains natural oils which help prevent decay. Manila rope has been used on ocean-going boats and ships for centuries.

Absolutely! We cut to length in the diameter of rope you choose.
If you want multiple or different lengths that's easy too: You enter the total length of rope (in metres) in the quantity box. Next, go to your cart and look for the “order & delivery notes” - type how many pieces you want and how long you want them to be. Then either carry on shopping or head to checkout!
