Our manufacturer has labelled this rope as 6mm but we measure the actual diameter at about 7mm.

This Manila Rope has been manufactured in The Philippines and conforms to EN ISO 1181 – 2004. Whilst not test-certificated the 6mm has an approximate Minimum Breaking Load of 290kg

Manila is a good strong traditional natural rope that is especially resistant to sunlight and stretches very little. It is ideal for use in the garden and being natural it complements planting and timber work. Uses include handrails, fencing, lawn & deck edging, swing & climbing ropes, rose & pergola swags.

Will it arrive next working day?

We always say 1-2 working days. If you pay for your order by 12 noon on a working day, we aim for next day delivery however remote locations, Islands & offshore might take a little longer.

How is rope measured?

Thicknesses are categorised by the diameter of the rope - ie measuring across the cross section or 'end' of a rope. Diameters are measured in millimetres; lengths of rope are measured by the metre.

Do all ropes shrink when wet?

Only ropes made from natural fibres (cotton, Manila, sisal etc) will shrink when wet.

Can I send my order back for a refund?

Our Returns Policy is at the foot of the page and we are unable to accept items that were cut to length or were modified (custom-made).

Great rope

I wanted some good quality rope for pioneering projects with the Scouts. This was a very economical way of buying reusable rope, I just had to cut it into the lengths required and add whipping to the ends. Much better than the slippery paracord or cheap sisal we used before.

6mm Rope

Hi, We purchased 6mm rope from you on the 2nd August and have only just opened it, having only just run out. It is actually 8mm rope. I realise that it has been some time now since we ordered the product and there is probably nothing you can do but I came across this e-mail asking for a review and thought I should make you aware so that it doesn't happen again as we like the rope on our products and will probably order more in the future.
