The standard finish for this rope is for both the left and right ends to be taped.
Our manufacturer has labelled this rope as 40mm but we measure the actual diameter at about 46mm.

This Manila Rope has been manufactured in The Philippines and conforms to EN ISO 1181 – 2004. Whilst not test certificated the 40mm has an approximate MBL of 11,500kg
Manila is a good strong traditional natural rope that is especially resistant to sunlight and stretches very little. It is ideal for use in the garden and being natural it complements planting and timber work. Uses include handrails, fencing, lawn & deck edging, swing & climbing ropes, rose & pergola swags.
When used as a decking rope the holes in the posts will need to be bigger than the rope and not the same size - it's best to wait for the rope to arrive before selecting your drill bit. Watch our video for guidance and top tips.

Thicknesses are categorised by the diameter of the rope - ie measuring across the cross section or 'end' of a rope. Diameters are measured in millimetres; lengths of rope are measured by the metre.
