The standard finish for this rope is for both the left and right ends to be taped.

Our manufacturer has labelled this rope as 32mm but we measure the actual diameter as 35mm.

This Manila Rope has been manufactured in The Philippines and conforms to EN ISO 1181 – 2004. Whilst not test-certificated the 32mm has an approximate Minimum Breaking Load of 7500kg.

Manila is a good strong traditional natural rope that is especially resistant to sunlight and stretches very little. It is ideal for use in the garden and being natural it complements planting and timber work. Uses include handrails, fencing, lawn & deck edging, swing & climbing ropes, rose & pergola swags.

When used as a decking rope the holes in the posts will need to be bigger than the rope and not the same size - it's best to wait for the rope to arrive before selecting your drill bit. The 32mm is approved for use as a Tug of War Rope by the Tug of War Association. The length is usually not less than 35m.

Will it arrive next working day?

How is rope measured?

Thicknesses are categorised by the diameter of the rope - ie measuring across the cross section or 'end' of a rope. Diameters are measured in millimetres; lengths of rope are measured by the metre.

Do all ropes shrink when wet?

Only ropes made from natural fibres (cotton, Manila, sisal etc) will shrink when wet.

Can I send my order back for a refund?

Our Returns Policy is at the foot of the page and we are unable to accept items that were cut to length or were modified (custom-made).

I wanted a very strong rope for my weight training as I would be pulling a vert heavy sled. Ordered the 32mm Manilla rope with a hard eye splice so I could connect it to my sled via a D-Shackle. Everything works brilliantly.. Well done Garden-Rope.

Good quality rope and excellant service

We bought 25 mtrs of this rope that was fixed to posts down the drive to enable roses and clematis to grow up and around. The quality of this rope is excellent it's the same type of rope that we had previously but cost less than the half price! After a quick 'phone call for advice on how to bind the ends, which were carried out to a very high standard, we received the rope the following day. I would recommend this rope and company to everyone.

Perfect rope for gardens.

I have ordered 32 mm Manilla rope from Garden-Rope on three occasions. The rope is consistent and as the product description says, slightly on the generous side for diameter. I use it to support rambling/climbing roses held onto 3" posts by the 'ring on plate' fittings. The first row of 6 posts spaced about 2.5m apart required approx 14m rope, which shrinks by about 5% or less over the first year. Roses have swarmed along the rope and the effect is very pleasing. I doubt if you will find a more competitive price elsewhere, and customer support has been great!

Battle Jump Rope 32mm Manilla

I wanted a battle jump rope for training, ordered a 3m length with additional hand wound finishing, the result is a perfect, heavy jump rope that I expect to last a constant pounding!!!
