Will it arrive next working day?

We always say 1-2 working days. If you pay for your order by 12 noon on a working day, we aim for next day delivery however remote locations, Islands & offshore might take a little longer.

How is rope measured?

Thicknesses are categorised by the diameter of the rope - ie measuring across the cross section or 'end' of a rope. Diameters are measured in millimetres; lengths of rope are measured by the metre.

Do all ropes shrink when wet?

Only ropes made from natural fibres (cotton, Manila, sisal etc) will shrink when wet.

Can I send my order back for a refund?

Our Returns Policy is at the foot of the page and we are unable to accept items that were cut to length or were modified (custom-made).

Several years ago I needed to replace a worn-out clothes line. The local shops could only provide 15m long ones, and thin at that. I eventually found a nylon rope from S******x which just wasn't right. No matter how careful I was in coiling the rope when finished, it always ended in a figure-of-8 hank. Enough was enough and I sat down and started 'googling'. I can't remember the search parameter, but I found Garden-Rope that way. I'm so glad I did. This 6mm synthetic hemp does the job nicely. The texture is just rough enough to give any fabric a good grip when pegged - and it coils beautifully. The only drawback is that somewhere along the line, I ordered DOUBLE the length I required, so now I've got two washing lines. Thanks guys, your product is superb and your service is impeccable.
