Will it arrive next working day?

We always say 1-2 working days. If you pay for your order by 12 noon on a working day, we aim for next day delivery however remote locations, Islands & offshore might take a little longer.

How is rope measured?

Thicknesses are categorised by the diameter of the rope - ie measuring across the cross section or 'end' of a rope. Diameters are measured in millimetres; lengths of rope are measured by the metre.

Do all ropes shrink when wet?

Only ropes made from natural fibres (cotton, Manila, sisal etc) will shrink when wet.

Can I send my order back for a refund?

Our Returns Policy is at the foot of the page and we are unable to accept items that were cut to length or were modified (custom-made).

This order followed the receipt of a similar rope last year, which I have been impressed with. Both ropes are for a narrowboat where strength, length and splice sizes are very important. This site is excellent in enabling all of these features to be specified and delivery is very quick. It is also very nice to be able to buy quality rope at reasonable prices, some companies regard the word 'boat' as being a licence to inflate prices : anyone who attends boat shows will know what I mean. I will certainly be spreading the word among the inland waterway community.
